The Agreeable Tiger Moth

I'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine. You've probably seen him, or his cousin a bunch of times. This is an Agreeable Tiger Moth, a close cousin of the Virginia Tiger Moth. The Virginia Tiger Moth doesn't have the little orange 'bib'. Another similar moth is an Ermine Moth. All are fuzzy white moths. As caterpillars they tend to feed on low growing plants, such as clover. 2-3 generations will live throughout the summer, with the last generation of caterpillars making a cocoon and hibernating through the winter.

This one has a crumpled wing

Notice the orange bib

Tiny little guys. You can see the orange stripe along the side.
