Bee with pollen sacs stuck on its' feet

The struggle for life in the garden is very real. Common Milkweed produces a large, spherical flower made up of hundreds of tiny florets. Their pollen is it not dry, light, and powdery, but held in little, sticky sacs called pollinia. When bees come to pollinate these flowers, the sacs can get stuck on their feet, and they carry them to another plant. Occasionally, they are so sticky that the bee can't get them off. The poor bee can then die of exhaustion, and dehydration.
Remember to 'like' and 'share' the love of nature!
