Prickly Sow Thistle

Sometimes what looks like a dandelion, isn't a dandelion. You need to look at how it grows, what its leaves look like, what time of year it's blooming, etc. 
Plants that have similar flowers are: sow thistles, hawkweeds, rattlesnake weed, and prickly lettuce.
Here is a Prickly Sow Thistle that I found still blooming on the path.
